2020 Jeep® Gladiator Sets Out to Conquer King of the Hammers
When you come by Glenbrook Dodge Chrysler Jeep®, you’re getting the best of every vehicle that our brands have to offer. And very soon, Jeep is going to be coming forward with an exciting new vehicle: the 2020 Jeep Gladiator. Even before the Jeep brand’s first truck in decades hits the consumer market, it has already put it through its paces with the closest thing to Moab: The King of Hammers Every Man Challenge.
This rigorous course runs through the California desert, combining high-speed sections with areas that require rock crawling. It’s a three-day race over 124 miles of the most rugged and demanding features the sands and stones have to offer. This version of the Gladiator was running in the 4600 stock class, which means that the vehicle itself cannot be modified to within an inch of its life. The vehicle must still be equipped with the factory engine, frame, and body, and have no tires bigger than 35 inches in diameter.
Piloted by renowned racers Robby Gordon and Erik Miller, the Gladiator set the fastest time this year in its qualifying race, having an impressive ten-second lead on the second-place vehicle. When the time came to go through the race, it completed the course sixth in its class, which is impressive considering that the other 23 vehicles behind the Gladiator couldn’t complete the race at all. It’s a huge vote of confidence for the minimally modified truck from Jeep, and we can’t wait to get it on our lot.
Once it does wind up at our dealership, you can be sure that we at Glenbrook Dodge Chrysler Jeep will have the best deals for our Indianapolis area customers.
