Spring Cleaning for Your Car

At Glenbrook Dodge Chrysler Jeep near New Haven, IN, we hope your car has made it through the winter unscathed. We also want to help you get ready to make the transition into spring.

Cosmetic
Now that the snow is (probably) done falling, it’s time to wash the winter off your car. While you may have been getting periodic car washes throughout the season, when spring rolls around, it’s a great time to get a full detail. This is not only to help it sparkle in the sunlight but to also keep your finish tempered against weathering. A couple coats of wax will only compound the effect.

The inside of your car does not escape the winter unscathed either. Consider a deep clean for your carpets, mats, and consoles to get your 2018 RAM 1500 looking like new again. A nice trick for helping it stay that way is to put cupcake liners into your cupholders to catch any errant dirt or debris. Next time you clean out your car, all you have to do is throw it away and replace it with a new one.

Mechanical
Winters are not just hard on cars, they are hard on roads too. Which in turn makes the roads harder on cars. Potholes are especially bad for suspension and alignment. Therefore, those are the areas you should get checked out during your seasonal maintenance. While you’re down there, your tires are always in need of some attention. Checking tire pressure and tread depth is a good habit to get into no matter what season it may be.

While it may seem like a small thing, check your wiper blades too. Spring is an especially rainy season and you don’t want to get caught unprepared.

Let the specialists in our Dodge service center, here at Glenbrook Dodge Chrysler Jeep, give your whole car a look. That way you can know you’re driving into spring with a car that’s good to go.
