The Future of Jeep®: The 2020 Jeep Wrangler
The Jeep® brand has changed a lot over the years, and as a leading Jeep dealership in Fort Wayne, IN, our team at Glenbrook Dodge Chrysler Jeep is excited to see what’s in store for next year’s lineup. With 2020 just around the corner, we’re expecting to see a lot of changes, especially in the next generation of Jeep’s flagship SUV, the 2020 Jeep Wrangler.
The Jeep Wrangler is one of the most iconic models in Jeep’s lineup. Modeled after the original Jeep buggies that took to the trenches in World War II, the Jeep Wrangler hasn’t changed much visually over the past several decades. That said, its internal mechanics and special features are very different from what was once offered in the past.
The 2020 model lineup hopes to shake up the Jeep Wrangler again by offering drivers a new diesel engine option. Diesel engines are often considered far more efficient than their traditional counterparts, putting out more horsepower and torque while expending far less fuel. The promise of a diesel engine will bring the 2020 Jeep Wrangler to the next level not only in terms of fuel economy, but off-road performance as well.
The 2020 Jeep Wrangler’s new 3.0-liter EcoDiesel V6 engine will be similar to the one found in the 2019 Ram 1500. Able to produce 260 horsepower and a remarkable 442 lb-ft of torque, this robust diesel engine is expected to get solid fuel economy and will provide a driving experience unlike any seen before.
