Mr. Douglas McKibben first opened Glenbrook Dodge in 1979. At that time there were 18 employees, one building and less than 5 acres of land. He has since grown this location to over 100 employees, 5 buildings and just under 8 acres of land. What started with just the Dodge brand quickly became what it is today: Glenbrook Dodge Chrysler Jeep Ram.

Patriotism has always been something Mr. McKibben has been proud to represent. Within a few short months of opening, He started flying American Flags on his light poles. In 1999, to celebrate Glenbrook Dodge's 20th Anniversary, he had the idea of flying one massive flag. After much planning, many setbacks, and actual construction; the 50 by 80 foot flag was raised 232 feet into the Fort Wayne skyline on October 13, 2001.

Given the timing, many thought it was a gimmick for publicity, but it was always much more than that. The motivation was always meant to be a  "thank you" to this community. A community that he is proud to be a part of and so thankful to have been able to have the opportunity to build a successful business in. Glenbrook's flag has become a sort of landmark here in Fort Wayne and continues to be a topic of discussion.

Since opening the dealership and growing into a large automotive group in the North East Indiana and North West Ohio areas, Mr. McKibben has always been an advocate of giving back. He has been a long time supporter of organizations such as The Boys and Girls Club, Junior Achievement, Mad Anthony's Children's Foundation and The Lifetime Sports Academy, amongst others. This vision has been a part of what Glenbrook Dodge is to this day. A dealership that cares about the community, and helps it grow. We host our Annual Trunk or Treat, sponsor events, and partner with different charities all year long.
