What's New for the 2023 Wagoneer?
There are two new exciting updates for the 2023 Wagoneer lineup. The first of which is the all-new Wagoneer L. By adding twelve inches to the overall length and seven inches to the wheelbase, the Wagoneer L offers a remarkable 42.7 inches of legroom for third-row occupants along with 44.2 cubic feet of cargo space behind the third row. Another welcome addition to the Wagoneer lineup is the Carbide Edition. This special package is available for the Series II trim and gives the Wagoneer a bold, blacked out look inside and out. Inside, the Global Black leather upholstery is contrasted by Smoke accent stitching. Meanwhile, a standard tri-pane panoramic sunroof contrasts the black suede headliner with an abundance of natural lighting. Outside, the grille rings, headlight rings, roof rails, side mirrors, door sill cladding, wheels, and headlight rings all add Gloss Black accents, while Diamond Black covers the emblematic seven-slot grille, door flares, and front and rear fascias.
What Are Some Standard Features for the 2023 Wagoneer?
The Wagoneer is a luxury SUV, therefore, you can expect it to have lots of standard features. In its most basic form, the Wagoneer's exterior features fully LED exterior lighting, heated/power-adjustable side mirrors with memory settings and integrated turn signals, fog lights, remote start, and 18-inch alloy wheels. Meanwhile, the Wagoneer's interior features include three-zone automatic climate control, push-button start, a leather-wrapped steering wheel, heated/cooled front seats, a 10.1-inch Uconnect 5 infotainment touchscreen, Alpine premium audio with 10 speakers, a 10.25-inch digital gauge cluster, leather upholstery, and much more. The Wagoneer also comes standard with a full suite of driver assistance technologies, including but not limited to blindspot monitoring, active lane management, adaptive cruise control with stop and go, front and rear parking sensors, forward collision warning, and automatic emergency braking.
2023 Wagoneer Engine and Drivetrain Options
There are two engine options available for the 2023 Wagoneer, instead of the single engine that was standard for the 2022 Wagoneer. Like the 2022 Wagoneer, however, the 5.7-liter HEMI V8 engine is standard equipment for the entry-level Wagoneer. The V8 engine generate 392 horsepower and 404 lb-ft of torque. Meanwhile, the rest of the lineup comes with a more powerful and efficient twin-turbocharged 3.0L inline-6 cylinder engine, laying down 420 horsepower and 468 lb-ft of torque. Not only is the twin-turbo engine more powerful than the larger V8, it also improves fuel efficiency by up to 15%. Both engines link to the trusted TorqueFlite 8-speed automatic transmission for even torque distribution and quick, smooth shifts. While rear-wheel drive is standard for the Wagoneer, Quadra-Trac I, Quadra-Trac II, and Quadra-Drive II with a rear electronic limited-slip differential are available for 4x4 capability.
